The parent or guardian authorizes the student to take part in the program on the basis that the student meets the physical requirements specified by law for issuance of a motor vehicle operator’s license. The student must be at least 14 years 8 months of age by the beginning of class.
Classroom instruction. Classes are held at three-hour time slots over the course of 2 weeks. After completing 30 hours of instruction students will receive a BLUE card which allows them to take the knowledge/permit test at a DMV testing location. All classroom instruction will be held at 708 Schilling Drive, Dundas. Make-ups: if a student misses a class due to illness or unavoidable event, students can take the same class in the sequence in the next scheduled class sessions. If the student wishes to make up the class sooner, there will be a $20.00 fee. If more than 3 classes are missed (unexcused), the entire course must be retaken in the next scheduled class session. All monies will be forfeited.
